WSOP: The Good News and the Bad News
The good news for Ryan is that only 1,159 players remain in the WSOP Main Event, out of more than 8,700 who started. He is less than 300 players from the bubble (873 places paid).
The bad news is that he had a rough Day 2, and his stack sits at 26,800 with play today starting at blinds 600/1200/200. That gives him an M of 7, meaning his work is cut out for him. He'll be at Table 58 with the following opponents:
Seat..Name.............Chips
----------------------------
1.....Sean Carey.......113,200
2.....Jason Newburger..17,300
3.....Kevin Armstrong..19,200
4.....Ryan Kallberg....26,800
5.....Cheng Yu.........258,200
6.....Oystein Halland..37,200
7.....Andrew Bishop....51,200
8.....Paul Radcliffe...73,800
9.....Art Tanimoto.....35,500
10....Terry Menezes....90,150
It's an unfortunate draw for Ryan, because the giant stack at the table, more than twice his nearest competitor, is on Ryan's immediate left. It could be worse, though, since the average stack at this point is about 75,000.
All the best of luck, Ryan! We're all pulling for you to play well, have the deck hit you in the face, and/or get broken to a more favorable seat assignment.
